Aetna no longer prints SSN on ID cards. A good move 
.
Maybe more and more insurances will follow suits.
There were once a time that DMV printed SSN on our
driver license. Don't know if universtities still use SSN as
student ID number and print them on their
student card.
I still wonder what is the proper channel to inform INS
about SSN obtained after getting the green card.
My wife did not have a SSN at teh time of filing I485.
If you read those textx around those about carrying cards
and change of address, you'll find that INS prefer
that we send our SSN in. This is important to
many CP permanent residents.
