Just spoke to IIO (yes, Immigration Information Officer) not Customer Services. He was so kind to listen to my anguish and distress in regards to not knowing why they discheduled my IV.

First, He verified all my information, (i.e. name, address, dob and A# ) then he told me to hold for a while till he can check it out,

Here is what he told me: -

He said that my file is still in VSC, that is why they descheduled my interview, I asked him if there is any thing pending, HE confirmed that every thing is " IN ORDER " and that the only thing pending is to send the file to the DO and that the IV rescheduiling should be made withen 90 days after they send the file.

I again politely asked him to confirm if my FP and background check is completed, he said from what he can see, every thing is OK.

What do you make out of this, and how do I go by following with VSC.

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but how did you manage to get through to speak with IIO? Did you call a general USCIS 1-800 number? If you did, how do you make them to transfer you to immigration officer? Thanks

Excellent work. I would suggest writing to the N-400 unit and letting them know of yuor conversation and ask them to confirm. If everything is ok, your file should move within a month, provided that you filed before your DO date.

For something like this, you can use certified mail. For added comfort, use the delivery confirmation.

Thank you All.

I will prepare a letter to VSC, but I admit , I am not a good expressional writer ( i.e when it comes to writing to USCIS) , can you guys suggest any format please.

Thank you.

Keep it simple and straight to the point. A few short sentences explaining the situation and a closing sentence asking for what you want.
You don't need to write an essay.

You can try something like this:

"Guys send my f@%#$ng file to the DO, I'm not going to wait forever for you to move your lazy fat asses"
Sincerely yours,

Foreverafter"
:D :D

I had the same experience exactly and got the same response...I wrote to the Servcs Center to ask them to release my file to the DO....few weeks later I got my 2nd interview letter and had my interview. Unfortunately my name check was still pending.

I hope yours has been cleared.

Great work! I am in the same boat so thank you for posting your update.

Can you tell us which number you called and how you got through to a human? I would like to try the same thing and post results. Thanks!

I called the National Customer Services number, I had to hold almost 1hour until I was ready to give up and hang up (they work until 0600pm).

Then out of a sudden I heard a pose on the line and kind of click sound like , ( keep in mind that by now it was almost 0545pm and they close at 0600pm) that is when this person IIO answered me by asking , how I came to this line, I told him I was just waiting on the line till you answered me.

One thing I forgot to mention, He told me that many applicants got descheduled at around the same date as mine.

Can you please tell me :-

1) To who's attention and address you directed your letter ?
2) What writing format did you use ?
3) How long after your IV got Descheduled , did you wrote to the Service Center ?

Appreciate your input.

Based on my experience USCIS has the "good habit" not to answer to letters. My suggestion is to write to your Congressperson or/and to the Senators and ask them to do the dirty job for you ;)

Thanks suzy,

At least, I will have a paper trail of all the follow-ups I made. Do you agree?

Thanks.

Yes.

Like myself, at the end I had a drawer full of letters, faxes, notes...
:D :D :D
