I have my interview on Feb 20th. My company name has changed in Jan, attorney has filed for amended 140 but will not get it before i leave.
The name change is mentioned in the Emp letter and i will be taking
some proof(dont know what it is yet, attorney will give that).
Attorney also says he has not heard from Chennai if this is OK.
Now its too late for me to postpone interview. Am i taking a big risk??
Would there be any problem.
Guys who were in this situation please answer.. will be greatful to
you guys as i heard on this board about someone getting stranded in
Mumbai bcoz of similar reasons.
 
Buddy,dont get panic or worry.u will be ok.My co name was changed 2 times.

during the interview in chennai consulate the indian lady in the counter asked me whether I have any documents which shows the name change.my company HR provided me with name change document called "Secretary of State" certificate which is an amendendment doc to the company\'s main file with the goverment.in that he/she will certify that as of this date and time the co name has been changed to xxx...this doc is not just for you and me.this the doc which tells the govt about the name change and the best proof for CP.so ask ur HR for that.name change is not at all a problem.also keep also the docs used to support amend 140 which also will be very helpful as a proof.they just need a proof for documentation sake.in fact the whole CP process is just a formality which u will come to know the moment after u attend the interview how cool it is.good luck.
