I have a questions on portability. I work as a Technical Support Engineer or an IT company. I have been waiting for my greencard for 4 years now.
* Filed for I-140 and I-485 in Dec 2003.
* Got finger printed in Jan 2005.
* I-140 approved in Feb 2005.
* Renewd my EAD and AP twice.
With the new USCIS bulletin I don't want to wait any longer and look for a new job. My questions are:
1. Should my new job also be as a Technical Support Engineer? If yes then can I accept a postion as a Senior or Staff Technical Support Engineer?
2. Should I have the same or higher salary? I am afraid that If I move down south the pay is going to be less compared to the NorthEast.
3. Should the job responsibilites be the same?
4. I support a set of products in my company? Am I supposed to support the
same set of products in the new company or is it ok as long as I am in Technical Support?
