Job outside of US before completing 5 yrs of naturalization

I have been residing in USA for 3 years on permanent residency status(greencard) and now I have job opportunity in an American based company in Bermuda. My question is, if I went to Bermuda for an year yet travelled back to USA atleast 3 or 4 times a year will it delay my citizenship application. I know before applying for my citizenship I have to reside in some state for atleast 3 month to apply for my citizenship. If I returned 3-5 months before I apply for my citizenship, will this scenario work??

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated as I have to respond to my employer ASAP.

I am not sure if the 3 months residency mean physical residency
for example the require 5 years residency but doesnt mean that u have to be physically present for 5 years, so i think that the 3 months mean just that you are resident of certain state and not mean beinside the state for 3 months
