Job offer - H1B transfer issues please reply

Hi Everyone

I got laid off on Nov 23, and to save my H1 I signed offer letter thru a consultant on the condition that I will start working only when I receive my Receipt #.Meanwhile my old company faxed a letter to USCIS in Nov informing about the layoff

They applied for H1B transfer around Dec 20th. I received a query on my W2, and duly responded to it. At present the LCA is approved and I am waiting for receipt #.

Meanwhile I was still continuing to search jobs on my own, and I have got 3 offers so far with actual companies ( not consulting) who are willing to do my H1 transfer.

Question: Am I still valid for transfer? Is worth taking risk and picking the offer up and hope that my H1 transfer goes thru?

I have heard that USCIS may ask me to go for consular processing.

How bad a situation am I in?

Thanks

Consular processing is not a problem. If you have a valid H1B stamping and ihave not been specifically required to attend at consulate, you just need to exit and re-enter with new approval notice. If a company files a new petition with premium processing, you should have that notice; exit and reenter and go to work for them.

Thank you for your reply

I guess I should have re-phrased the question.

Since it going to be around 3+ months from the latest paystubs, how bad are my chances to be rejected for the H1B transfer?
