Job offer and AOS

All,

I receieved a very good job offer. The position is in Florida and I have filed my AOS from Virginia. My wife is currently employed in Virginia. I have to work alternate weeks in Florida and other alternate weeks I can work from Virginia. Because of this, I will need to maintain two residences. Will it create any problem during interview? Has anyone done this? Since my DO Washington DC (fairfax) is very slow, I am not sure when the interview will be and for how long we will have to maintain two residences. On one hand I do not want to miss this offer, on the other side I am worried for how long I have to do this commute?

Suggestions...

Andy,

Congrats on your job offer. I haven't been in your situation, but have couple of suggestion for you. Not sure how feasible this is:

If you know anyone in Florida, near where this offer is, you could work an arrangement with them, stay there and work at this company. As such, your wife maintain your residency in VA. :) Once your AOS interview is scheduled, attend the interview and should be asked about your job situation, you should explain to IO that you telecommute and stay with friends, and home on the weekend to take care of your wife, marital responsibilities... :p

Another alternative, you and wife move to Florida, but that is goingto delay your greencard approval. Also, your wife will need to find another job which will take her couple of months. The one alternative that sucks, you let go of the offer till you land something in VA which pays comparable to one in Florida. :D Howeveer, Florida's weather will beat VA's any day of the week..
