Job location issue

This might be a same old question but I thought to get some advice and inputs.

In PERM, job location is the client’s location (not company HQ). In the middle of this whole GC process if the job location is changed to different state (for same client or employer) then I heard two different thoughts:

1. “One cannot change the job location until GC is approved”. Is this true? And legally how long one should work at that location after GC is approved?

2. “Legally GC is not related to present but for future employment so there is no issue for location. Once GC is approved then one should work at the location specified at PERM.”

If (2) is correct then how long one should work at location specified at PERM after GC approval? Is there anyones case approved for situation like case 2? If I don’t work at the specified location after GC is approved (or after I receive my card) does that mean my approved GC is now revoked and I am illegal?

Please advice!

I had a problem similar to yours. My lawyer stated that it is best to keep your location until the end of PERM process, or to place the PERM with your company's HQ (or regional office) location.
