Job in Iraq

Due to the nature of my resume, I have been offered contract work in Iraq several times. The last offer I received a few days ago is very hard to pass.
I have received my GC in July 2006, so as far as requirements in N-470, I should be good, at least if I understand them correctly. However, contract for 12 months in-country, and so all the potential problems discussed numerous times on this forum are of some concern.

I would greatly appreciate any and all input from everybody, especially if some one had found him/herself in my specific position (in respect to a particular country where the job is located).

Thank you in advance, everybody.

As long as you have a one year period since GC approval, during which you never left the US even for a day.

Aside from that, I presume you would be working for the US government, or a military contractor, so that should satisfy the N-470 requirements. But I would be more worried about survival in Iraq! Worry about citizenship after you come back alive.
