Job GC. Married b4 GC approval. Follow-to-Join wife

Hi There,

I am a job based Green card holder living in USA. I got married in Pakistan before the approval of my Green Card. I filled I-824 application to bring my wife to USA as follow-to-join spouse. That application has been approved. Notification from USCIS says "We have informed Islamabad embassy about my new residential status".

What is the next step? Is Islamabad embassy going to contact my wife in Pakistan advising her to apply for immigrant visa? If "Yes" then where shall Islamabad embassy get the particulars of my wife as the form I-824 does not bear any information regarding my wife's particulars except an addendum added by my attorney saying that the application is being filled to bring my wife and my kid to USA.

If in case Islamabad embassy is not going to contact her, do I need to take some further step?

Basically I am confused about the process and want to know what is next?

You can contact Islamabad US Embassy PakIVQuery@state.gov to make sure. Your application will be forwarded to NVC and, NVC will generate filling fee. This is the form where they will ask you beneficiary information (your wife). NVC will forward the application to Islamabad.

However, I have two questions, when did you file I-824 and which center? I am in the same boat and confuse about Nebraska Processing Center, its taking too long to process these applications. Any thoughts??? Anyone???
