Job change

Hi All,

I currently have a valid H1. My I-140 filed non-concurrently under the NIW category is still pending. If I file for I-485 before my I-140 is approved, will I be able to switch jobs and get a new H1 through the new employer? Thanks for all help.

What type of NIW?

Because if it not employee dependent, you can switch jobs even otherwise. Otherwise, you just have to wait for 180 days after you apply for I485.
