Job Change

One of my friends wants to change job. 485 was filed in Nov 2001, and he got RFE a couple of mths back, which he replied to. No news since then, and fingetprinting probably expired too. Now he is getting a similar job as to the one he is doing presently.

Here's where the experts' help is needed. Can he change job at this juncture? And can his old company revoke I-140 if they want to be vindicative? Please help since his current project is probably going to end in a month, and then he will have nothing.

If your friend already replied RFE then he is safe (lot of cases transfered becasue of company change). Even his case is transfered to local office, that shouldn't be problem because job descriptions are same. FP notices will be sent to his address.

In case current attorney works for his current company then I will suggest him to find a attorney and file G-28 form. so that they won't be any problem in future.

Be careful.
That may seem like a fraud to the INS if the case is looked at again or if your friend wants to get US citizenship in the future.
If he isn't laid off he'd better stay on the old job for a few months after he gets his GC.
