Wanted to know whether just after few months of getting green card through CP one can change the job.

What if the employer lays you off within 6 months, say 3 months. Does that count against the N-400 applicant.

I have good terms with my employer so they may lay me off if I request them instead of me resigning voluntarily.


Also, as a sidenote, I appreciate you sticking around for near 4000 posts to help out. Thats a feat!!!

No. Because that's not the """employee's"""" decision.

you meant ""EMPLOYER'S"" decision Right??

Thanks for the reply you sent.
Just wondering how INS keeps a record of who worked where and which company got bankrupt and whether employer laid off the person or it was employee`s decision etc etc.
