Need help.

My I-140 is approved and I also have EAD. Do I need to get any document from my current company (saying that they will not withdrawal my GC) in order to change my job. Do have need to submit anything to my new company regarding GC?

Please advice.

If you have also filed for 485 and it has been pending for at least 180 days, you can use AC 21 portability to change jobs as long as it is a similar type of job. In this case, your company cannot withdraw the I-140 petition.

If you havent filed for 485 yet, the safest thing to do would be to file it ASAP, wait for 180 days before moving jobs. Or make sure that your company wont withdraw the I-140 if you want to change jobs right away.

I believe, to use AC21, the new company needs to give some letter saying that the new job needs the same skills as the underlying labour petition.

Can someone provide details on:
1) What the letter should say
2) To whom it has to be submitted
3) Any other relevant details

Thanks in advance.
