Does taking a new job at an affiliate company (same Holding company), with similar duties, but lower pay because it’s located in cheaper jurisdiction (moving from Northeast to Southeast) affect GC application?

Thanks.

Thanks Frantic

I may get an offer to relocate to Florida with an affiliate and our Lawyer says there shouldn’t be a problem. Just wanted to consult the experts.

Check with your lawyer if you need an Amended I140 to be filed.

I had to file an amended I140 when I switched from my Company to my Company's Parent Company. (Actually the Parent company merged two of its child companies) It also depends which Tax Payer ID is being used after the merger.

I am in the same boat, with fre*** I485 pending for almost "24 months" now, there are talks that our unit maybe shifted to a sister company, I already filed amended I-140 once as my previous company was acquired by the present company now this... thanks to the incompetent BCIS, my lawyer says it should not be a problem for I-485 application but BCIS 'MAY' ask for another amended I-140, I would call it scam as I already payed 2 times for the same process because delays and now I may pay for the 3 time.....then who knows another delay of 6-7 motnhs for the I-140 amendment......then possibly a 3rd FP and so the delay continues......

This whole process is f**** up... sorry for the language but there is absolutely NO-ONE to help us....

The key is 'IF' they ask for it or they may ignore it and you may get approved, but if they DO ask then you again screwed for next 7-8 months, this whole process sucks...
