Job change for pending NIW I485

I have got my I140 approved under NIW in Feb. In theory I can change job in the same field without screwing up my I485. Does anyone know how strictly CIS is enforcing this? I worked in a small private company, and my NIW primarily based on a DoD contract our company got. Now the contract is over, and I got my NIW approved, and the company is not doing well. If I move to a company in the same field, but working on commercial applications, is this regarded as "same field"?

Thanks.

These situations come up fairly often, and there's no simple answer. Assuming there is a high degree of similarity between the two position and they ask you the question which they're likely to, it will come down to how well you, or your attorney will argue the case. I have no recollection of anyone here getting into trouble with that, at least not scince-based petitions.
