Job change during EB1 query

Hi,

I am currently working for a company on H1B visa and through that company I have applied GC in EB1-OR category.6 months back my I-140 was approved. I had filed for 485 along with I-140, my 485 is pending. I have my EAD.
Can I change my employer now? In how much time should I get a job? When I leave this job I will lose my H1, do i automatically come on EAD or should it be informed to INS? What should my current employer do so that my GC application is valid even after I leave them?

I remember when someone asked this kinda question to Brian (our moderator) few months back he/she said that you need to stick to employer till you get I-485. I guess he/she may be correct but there were ceratin cases which resulted on both side. ....I know in my institution a guy who change djob while in ur shoes was denied I-485 later during interview days....i also happen to know few hwo did changed labs within universities and retain I-485 and got approval.....coming back to your question...I beleive u can use EAD to get new job with similar kinda of work or similar prequisite (skill wise ) kinda a job. U will loose H1 with current boss you can ask for new H1 or use EAD for new job...u will not automatically come on EAD u need to fill form (i guess its I-9)and submit to HR office of your new employer......ur current employer need not have to do anything for this change...
