job change and CP

If one is moved into another division of a large company, with a different title and higher pay as specified in LC, but close job skills and responsibilities, will it create a problem when appearing for CP?

fromeast:

AS long as the current job description is same/ similar to the job description in your LC then you are fine.

Example: If you have moved from Analysis & IT Development division as Sr. Programmer Analyst to IT Project Management or Business Consulting Division as IT Project Lead/ Business Analyst Lead then it should be fine since it is IT related. But if you have filed LC based on an IT job and now have moved into Marketing/ Finance (not IT related) then it COULD (not WILL be) be an issue if it gets noticed at the interview.

If asked at the interview be ready to explain the details around this job description change!

Hi,
my case is also the same kind with changed title and higher pay,my attorney suggested me to go for AOS but i wanted faster process and applied for CP.
Keeping my fingures crossed i am hoping since the job responsibilities are same i should not be having any problem.
lets see how it goes,GC is ALL Luck.

kd1403,

Thanks for replying. So even if job title is changed, from RF test engineer, to senior hardware design engineer, it's still ok as long as responsibility remain close(all in the RF field)?

What matters is the job description. If the description matches LC closely you are OK. Job titles are not very significant unless they indicate a drastic change in job itself.

I am an RF engineer too, in Northern CA.

I think nkm has said it to the point. To add to it, if you get asked by consular officer about a difference in title and / or higher pay then say it is natural career growth / progression which is normal and understandable.

Thanks KD,
I am also in the same boat. Will definitely keep in mind your explaination.
