job change after filing I-485

Could you please let me know:

My I-485 (Outstanding Researcher, postdoctoral researcher) has filed for 10 months, but I will have to transfer to another university as a postdoctoral researcher, because my current project will be finished and my boss has not money to pay me. Now, I have EAD card and do not want to apply for H1 visa..

1. Do you think that I must inform the INS my job changes?
2. My lawyer said: "If my current boss does not tell the INS my job changes, it is not necessary that I inform the INS by AR-11". Do you think it is a risk?

1. Do you think that I must inform the INS my job changes?
NO. you must have a letter ready from your new employer in case INS issues you RFE.

2. My lawyer said: "If my current boss does not tell the INS my job changes, it is not necessary that I inform the INS by AR-11". Do you think it is a risk?
YES, you MUST file AR-11 within 10 days of moving.
