Job change after filing 485. Please help
Can somebody please help on this question.
I applied for my 140 throught he EB1(?) researhcer category at my univ as a post doc in 2003. My 140 was approved last week. I will be sending out the 485, EAD and AP apps. in the next couple of days. Currently I am on third year of my H1b and the current one is issued till aug.2005
But the problem is my boss has run out of research funds. I think i will have to find some other job by november end to support myself. I am looking for another profesor(s) to support me for the next few months. I am also looking at some lecturer postions in all departments. If i get a lecture or post-doc position in another department in my univ., would it be considered as a new job for the 180 day clause. How much freedom do i have to change my prof, department and job title within the same university now, and after I get my EAD.
Please help.
