My EB3 based , (also using AC21) 485 got approved recently ,but my spouse's application is still pending.

Do you think If i change job now , it can have bad effect on spouse application if they conduct interview or send an RFE.

Thanks

Wait if you can....

your spouse approval should not be far behind. Wait if you can at all.

With a job change, you should worry about your GC more then your spouse's.

Wait if you can, but I changed my job after my approval and I am still waiting for my wife's approval. She had interview also after my job change but this was never an issue at the time of her interview.

Although Employment-based Green Card beneficiaries are no longer bound to their sponsoring employers for 2 years after obtaining the Green Card, it is still advisable to remain with the sponsoring employer for a reasonable amount of time. The reasonable amount mentioned above differs from one source of information to another, but universally everyone agrees that 6 months are just about perfect. Furthermore, it is advisable to retain paystubs from the sponsoring employer after the Green Card as an evidence of employment should it be required in the future to present on a citizenship interview.

Unfortunately, I can not provide any detailed information on derivative Employment-based petitions in regards of primary applicant job change.

Here is how I look at it. Your biwi will get her GC one day. Either way her 485 will be filed, she will have EAD and AP by virtue of that. You have a 485 approved, so you don't need to maintain the 100% employment record like we unapproved folks do.

SO go ahead change jobs. Worst case if her case gets transferred or issues get created, even then, one day YOU will become citizen, and file for her GC, meanwhile she lives here and works here legally.

Right Vipsha?

Your wife case will not get effected by your job change, it might effect your citizen ship but who knows what will be the rules after 4 yrs.

So why to leave good opportunity today in fear of future (which is not sure) ?
