Saw lot of discussion on Job change after 485 approval.Thought I would share my exp.Any comments are Welcome.
Applied for 485 stage last year. Hit bench after 3 months of that. Company immed slashed my salary to half & paid for a month.
For next few months I was paid every alternate pay period amt for 2 weeks(that is salary I was getting was 1/4 of original). (I was asked to send a email saying I am on on leave every 2 weeks).
Around 2 months back they stopped that salary.Luckily my 485 got approved & some of the companies started responding & have received an offer...can join in 2 months time.
Although there\'s lot of discussion on when a person can join another company after 485 approval I plan to join the new company within 2 months of my approval, since I am on bench the past 7-8 months.
Now the company wants me to resign ...i don\'t want to do that from my side, since had I been in project I would have stuck with the company...but I am in a position where I am dependent on the Company which was not able to find me project for 7-8 months & although they have paid me off & on I can\'t survive on that & at this job market I can\'t rely on them.
This is my plan of action. I would welcome any comments from all you guys.
