Job change after 180 days and travel on AP

Hi,

 I changed my job 180 days after the notice date.
Now I need to travel to India.

Would there be a problem at port of entry since I am not longer employed with my previous employer who filed my I-485.

What status were you on when the job transfer occurred?

Joined the new company on EAD.

Usually if you have advance parole you should be ok.
But, Please do check with ur attorney for final confirmation.

But wont they ask me at the immigration that which company do you work for and when they see that my I-485 is from my old employer, they might cause problems?

Take along a printout of the rule which says after 180days you can change jobs. Actually, it is best u talk to a qualified attorney.

talked to the attorney.
Says that need to do the following:

1. Notify INS regarding Job change.
2. Take a letter from new employer.

But the problem is that he says is the officer at the immigration counter are not knowledgebalbe about the 180 day rule. so its a risk.
