Job Application in Us

I have my Greencard since 1996 however I was not able to fulfill the citizenship status and since 2009 I have not been in US.

I was paying my taxes when I had any income in US and renewed my greencard till 2016 at 2006. Also I have been applied to more than 200 positions in us and got negative answers (I have a MBA from San Francisco State Unversity). I still keep the application e mails. When I could not find a job I return to my country and started to work.

Since 2012 I started to work for a company in my country that has global alliances with US based companies. There are jobs that might be suitable for me in this US based company.

I think I might not have any problems returning and maintaining my GC if I have the job offer from this company. Please let me know if you think otherwise.

Also I was wondering what would happen if the company asked for an interview in US without the offer, do you think that I might enter without loosing my GC status.

Thanks in advance for your help

Your green card is already invalid, because you spent over a year outside the US without a reentry permit. You'll need to apply for an SB-1 visa to reinstate your status as a permanent resident (which is unlikely to be approved as you've been gone for 4 years), and if that fails you'll need a fresh new green card or work visa to work in the US.

The OP says that he is gone since 2012. And while it is still year 2013, he might be still within the 12-month window, so if that is the case you, Efesberk, should travel to the U.S. as soon as possible!

Oh, I am very sorry for overlooking that.

In that case the OP is left just with the SB-1 option.
