Yes, you're right
But don't get your expectations high yet.
This is a ploy of theirs to say "we're moving, you're so close, so shut up and don't bother us."
I contacted my Senator's office, which in turn contacted the CSC. The CSC official told the Senator's office staff that my case is so close (March 6, 2002) to the JIT date, and would be approved within one month.
I then reiterated that (1) a lot of January 2002 cases have not been approved, and (2) hundreds of Oct/Nov. 2002 cases have been approved. The Senator's office's response is "well, they say they are working on March 1 cases, and the approval is in the order of applicatoins received. So your case should be approved soon."
I really don't trust the CSC (that is a liar) or the Senator's office staff (who does not know much about the EB I-485 issues). My fingerprints have expired and I have not even gotten a second fp notice. Hence "within one month" is totally unrealistic --- even 3 days after the Senator's office's call, my touch date still remains the same at December 2002.
We have come to realize that JIT dates mean nothing. Even after a while with the JIT date of January 30th, we are still seeing "WAC02-030-5xxxxx approved" on this bullten board. They are just playing games with your heart and mind.
