I-485 date is March 1, 2005.
All I-140's have moved to early or middle March 2005.

Still many 2004 I-485 pending and date moved to March 1 2005

Not entirely. USCIS has done their job by submitting I-485 to FBI for name checking. By transferring the heat to FBI, they are done and in turn, move the processing date. Nice excuse, ha.

Does DWI automatically trigger a name check?

Do these dates mean approval dates? Or are these the dates when they just opened your file?

If your case is neither approved nor RFE issued after one month of processing date, your case must be stuck in name checking which will take from 1 month to 3 years.
