I sincerely appreciate you for help you are providing without any charge to gc seeker community. Really it is a great help.

I have two questions for you.

Q1. If my I-140 is approved for CP and I want to go AOS way, do I need to file I-824 to get back my file from NVC ?
My consulate is going to be Montreal.

Q2. I filed my I-140 in TSC with ND Feb. 20, 2001. My category is EB2(RIR) my petition is still pending. Anticipating my approval I did medical exam in August 2001, if I file I-485 do I need to go another medical exam or my medical papers are OK.

No. Just file the I-485 and follow up to be sure that the file is being pulled back.

It depends on when you file. I\'d probably recommend redoing it.

KP, medical results are valid for 1 yr.

I read that somewhere. However, you could get another medical examination at the time of filing for I-485. Jim Mills is right. You are better off doing it again as you never know for how long your I-485 process will take. Having a medical examination done again will reduce the risk of getting an RFE for medical examination later on.

CP has a different procedure for medical examination. The CP\'s medical examination is conducted by the authorized doctors in your native country.

If you are planning on doing another medical examination for filing your I-485, please carry the results of the old one. The doctor might waive certain tests for you as they were already conducted, and you could save up some money.

KP, I am still waiting for the plastic card

I got PP stamped on 02/11/2002 at Santa Ana, California. Hope that the plastic comes soon.
