Here is my problem:
My I-140(EB2) was approved from TSC in June 2002(notice date). In the beneficiary field the A# printed is A1.
I applied for I-485 at NSC in July 02 and received the receipt notice with A# as A2.(I also got EAD, AP and completed the finger printing).
Last week my employer received a AMENDED I-140 notice from TSC with A# in the beneficiary field as A2 (same as in I-485 notice of action) and notice date as december 02. All other details are exactly the same.
My company name has not changed; it has not merged with any other company; my employer did not apply for a new I-140. From the beginning I opted for AOS and I am still going with AOS.
Does this seem strange to you? or is this normal? Is the amended notice sent because I applied I-140 at one service center and I-485 in another? Is INS trying to "sync" I-140 and I-485 by using the same A#?
I appreciate your help very much.
Thanks
