JFK POE Experience

I arrived at JFK on Monday morning. At POE they told me to go to the room at the end of the hall and put my passport and papers inside a red envelope.
The room has row of seats, a big table with 3 computers and behind each one, an officer. There were about 10 people in the room, and some were representing an airline. I gave the envelope to an officer on the door and sat down. Another officer called my name and asked me if i spoke english. I said yes and the questions began: (everything lasted from 45 min to an our)
Why do you come so frequently?
Who finances your stay? What does this person do?
How long are you staying? Can i see yor return ticket?
how long did you stay last time you were in the US?
What do you do in your home country?
Do you have more than 10000 dollars with you?
Do you carry cigarettes? How many?
Can i search your luggage?
He sent for my luggage as i couldn't leave the room, finally it arrived. they opened it, gave a look at it, told me to close it and to go back to the desk. I went and he gave me my passport and papers (before taking copy of everything: passport, visa, return ticket, boarding pass) and told me i was good to go. When i exit the room and looked at my passport i was given a 6 months stay. After all, it wasn't that bad, i was really nervous but i did everything they told me, spoke english as clear as i could, didn't give complicated answers, told the truth and tried to keep calm.
Hope somebody find this post helpful. Good luck!
