Jan visa bulletin out!

April 01 is troubling

Guys and Gals,

The forward movement is good but the troubling part is that E3 for every category is pretty much stuck at April 01. India EB3 is still in 99 and may keep moving in the near future. However, until there is movement from April 01 for EB3 categories we are in a for a LONG LONG wait. I think its the 245i (illegal aliens) filing their cases by the thousands just before the deadline of April 01. This is what happens when irresponsible legislation is passed by politicians in order to secure future votes for their parties. One of the first things Bush did when he came to office was pass this bill that let all these illegal aliens apply for GCs. No thought was given to legal people already waiting in line. Its disgusting. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the people who were illegal and were able to take advantage of this law, the law makers are to blame for throwing them into the mix with legal residents without regard for the limited number of visas that are available each year for GCs. Politics everywhere is the same. In some countries there is blatant corruption, in others corruption and mismanagement is hidden behind special interest groups. The end result is the same, honest hardworking people are left holding the bag.

APril 01 is not going to effect us

The April 01 category that you are talking about are unkilled labor and the limit for each country is 10000 for that specific category.

Even if there are large numbers ..the number illegal aliens from India which come under this category will be very few.

That is my thought .. BUT

kbn_gc,

What you say makes sense and I was under that impression myself. However, why are all EB3 categories (Rest of the World, China and Phillipines) stuck at April 01. Why aren't they moving past that date if indeed the 245i cases are not affecting them? That is the million dollar question. Logically the 245i cases should have no effect on other countries' quotas because each country gets about 10,000 visas, however every EB3 category progresses to April 01 and gets stuck. This is defenitely FISHY.
