Jan 2000 ND EB2 Can I switch to Counsular processing now?

Hello,

ND is Jan 2000 in VSC. EB2 Category. Its very frustrating to wait like this not knowing when the approval would come thru and that too surviving the organizational restructurings and I thought if its possible to switch to counsular processing at this stage.

And if it possible, is it risky procedure I mean are there any chances of getting rejected.

any advise would be very helpful

you have to file I-824 in order to do CP. Filing I-824 automatically voids your I-485 application. Also, you may have to wait atleast 6 months to 1 year before your I-825 gets approved, not to mention the remaining pain in doing CP( sending forms, medical, travel, getting vacation from your boss etc ), so think twice. My ND is 03/28/2000, no FP yet, I would have thought about this CP option alteast 100 times, couldn\'t decide yet. so think alteast twice before taking the CP path. Ofcourse, it the most frustrating thing. I am

You can do AC I-140 instead of I-824. It will be faster. Ask an aterney to certify you I-140. Some lawers know this process, while some don\'t. So you need to ask several lawers. Or you can go www.imminfo.com or www.immihelp.com to get information.
