Jackolantern & Other EB Friends - URGENT!!

I have a question for EB friends on these forums. My wife and kids' applications were returned to attorney on July 5 and the attorney sent back all the three application sets with the missing documents to TSC the same day and I am hoping TSC received the packets on July 6, 2007.

Do you think they will be accepted and issued SRC numbers soon? The IO said I should wait till the end of the month to get receipt numbers.

Meanwhile, I received FP code 3 notice today (July 16) and the date for that is 08/03 and I am hoping my wife and kids' applications are accepted by then. Why would the USCIS want to send me for FP now and send my dependents later?

Does any one expect my I-485 to be approved even before my family's I-485s are accepted? Should I hold off on my FP appointment till I get a confirmation on my family's applications.

Further, what is so special about FP Code 3 compared to code 1 and code 2?

Thanks in advance for any urgent thoughts.

Please see other details in my signature.

I-485 normally takes at least 6 months to process, and it is almost impossible that any newly filed cases (those filed this May or later) will be approved before October, with their current focus on clearing out the old cases.

Your real problem is whether they will reject your wife's and kids' applications because of the "all unavailable" visa bulletin.

FP code 3 is for picture, all ten fingerprints, and signature. The others are for a subset of that (I don't remember which but you can search the fingerprinting section of the forum to find out). The first FP will almost always be code 3.
