J2 visa renewal

Hello,
I am on J2 visa with EAD and currently working. We're going home to our country and we are going to renew our visas. Would my having an EAD and work be a problem in renewing my J2 visa?

Were you able to process your J-2 visa renewal without a problem? having the EAD?

how did you do to keep working if your EAD expires when your visa expires? did your employer let you keep working without a problem?

thank you, I am kind of in the same spot, my visa expires in June and my EAD also, i am aware that with my new DS-2019 for the next year will keep me in legal status in the states unless i leave the country where i would be in obligation to renew it?
