J1 waiver while residing outside US

I am filing for a J-1 waiver based on "No Objection" statement. Since I am residing in India, the Ministry of External Affairs in India has forwarded my final "no objection certificate" to US Embassy in New Delhi so they can transmit this to DOS for waiver recommendation. I am writing to check if anyone has had success through this procedure (i.e through MEA and US Embassy in India) while applying for waiver while residing in India. When I contacted the US Embassy in New Delhi, I did not get a definite answer from the representative(s).

Any information regarding this will be extremely useful for me. I am getting really anxious because the waiver has to come within couple of months, so I can keep the job offer and file for H1-B on time.

a question

Dear mk_visa,

My friend who had applied from in the US had to wait for 2.5 months.

Could you please tell me where you got your forms notarized in India?

Thanks in advance,
pathri
