Hello all,
I am on a 2 year J1 research visa subject to 2 year HRR. I want to know what would be ideal for me, transfer to J1 clinical (as I wish to do MD here) or get a waiver on my existing J1 research, transfer to H1b and then apply for H1b in MD?
Also, is there a time limit after which one can apply for a J1 waiver? I mean, is it advisable to apply as soon as possible in my case. I have around 1.5 years remaining on my J1 research visa..
Does the transition from J1 research to J1 clinical also need a waiver first? If one does take a waiver, does he become ineligible for J1 clinical in the future?
How much time would these processes take? I wish to know which one would be ideally the shortest!
