J1 waiver - non-medical - India/China/..

Dear all

I am trying to understand the time line of the J1 waiver while waiting for the DOS recommendations. I checked several case numbers (about 150). There are only three categories. (all non-full bright cases)

1. Same day approval (60%)
2. 20 days approval (30%)
3. 40-45 days approval (8%)
4. Rarely 145 days approval (2%)

If there are any Indians in the forum, kindly let us know the time between
NORI received and DOS recommendation dates. I have a feeling that they delay too much for certain countries like India and China where there is a lot of incoming people.

Kindly let me know if you have any other ideas regarding this time line

----Seems like a "useful for nothing" work, but the DOS wait time is really making me obsessive and crazy ........

time line

I am still waiting :mad: my friends have recieved their waiver within 20 days of duration. I have been waiting over 84 days. So, I guess now i belong to the 2% population.:(
 
I reviewed 51 cases so far........here is the statistic::::::

Total cases reviewed: 51
No info on cases:33
approved:9
pending even NOS recieved by DOS:1
Pending/NOS not recieved by DOS:6
"Not Required to Adjudicate": 1( did not understood the meaning)

I hope this info will help anyone, who is trying to do research on j1 waiver like me ;)-
