I am on J1 visa since Aug 2009 and my wife is on J2. She has had an EAD (Employment Authorization Document) for about 18 months now but has not had any job other than some voluntary work.
I recently got my J1 extension DS-2019(from Aug 2011 to July 2012)- to do a fellowship.
We are planning a visit to India for a couple of weeks in July 2011 before starting the fellowship in Aug and will have to get J1 stamping to return to US. I have a couple of concerns regarding J1 stamping in India.
Can someone please help me with any information regarding my following concerns
1. Is there a possibility of J1 denial based on the information that my wife had an EAD ?
2. Any possibility of J1 denial if I am going to do the fellowship (I am a medical doctor) in a private hospital rather than a University hospital ?
