J1 visa extension to 8th year. NEED HELP!!!

I am doing fellowship in cardiology with J1 and am in the 6th yr of J1. I want to do an additional yr of fellowship after 7 yrs of J1. So my questions are
1. Is an 8th yr extension allowed for J1 visa for physicians in fellowship training?
2. If yes will it be difficult to obtain a waiver job.

Please help answer my questions.

How did you go to 6th Year?

Hi,
I will be completing my 5th year as JI in 2011 Aug. I am wondering, how can I extend the visa to 6th year. I prefer staying on J1 so that my wife can work too. I was happy seeing your question, so thought I can ask you the details/pointers.
