J1 visa application process

Hi there,

I am a citizen of New Zealand and I am interested in interning with a U.S. company under a J1 Visa. If I am offered an internship by a U.S. company - what are the steps that need to be taken to apply for the J1 visa?
If there is a link someone can provide that explains this, that would be much appreciated.

The company will issue a SEVIS DS-2019 form and some kind of sponsorship letter to you. Use the form along with other documents (e.g. passport, bank statement) to apply for a J-1 visa at US embassy in your country. For more info, visit the link below

Get DS-2019 from your employer, apply for visa, go to US embassy and get it stamped.
