J1 Stamping at Chennai

Hi,

We are planning to go to India for two weeks. Anybody had any experience of J1 (extension) stamping at Chennai consulate? Will it be possible to get it in two weeks? The person is moving to 3rd year on J1 - Residency.

Any info will be of great help.

J1 stamping in chennai

1) they are giving problems to some people. Take all your previous and current IAPs with you. Basically you got to prove that you have never been out of status

2) you drop the application at TT serivces chennai(fix time via internet i think). They will mail thr visa if approved to your home address
