Dear all,

I have a question, the sponsor of my J1 visa is AIPT(the Association for International Practical Training). Does DOS will contact them to ask for their opinion about my waiver(No Objection)? I do not receive any funding from US government.

Normally, DOS will NOT contact your J1 sponsor, for you J1 waiver application based on No Objection.

But if they have some questions about you submitted documents, especially about the J1 programs, then they may contact your J1 sponsor. (see also http://www.greencardapply.com/j1/j1_faq.htm)
