Hi, Does anyone know or has experienced the change of status from J1 (resident physician) to H1B (attending physician) ONLY with the DOS recommendation letter (IGA request)? In my case USCIS final approval of J1 waiver is pending. Is it possible that USCIS issue the H1B ONLY with DOS letter and USCIS receipt notice, or the USCIS ask for evidence (i.e. USCIS final J1 waiver approval notice) before issuing the H1B? Any personal experiences will help. Thanks for listening.
