J1 HRR-advisory opinion or doing time?

Hi
I need good advice on this.
I am a Physician(MBBS) in India. In June 2004, I went to USA on a J1 Visa for research in Psychology.I was still a medical student then( and not a doctor).I was stamped 212e applicable based on skills list.I came back to India after 2 months(15th August,2004).
In 2005, I spent 2 months in Japan on a Cultural activities VISA, basically to do research.
Now,in 2006,I have got admission for PhD starting Fall 2006 in the USA(tentatively Sep 2006).
Now,I have 3 queries:
1.On my J1, US Govt didnt fund me.I was funded by a private university.
Exchange Visitor program number P-1-00057
Exchange Visitir category - Professor
Subject/Field code: 42.0101
Subject/Field code description: Psychology, general
Noe, General Psychology is not a skill that is in short-supply at home and does not appear in India's short supply skill list(correct me if I am wrong).
Nor, did I go for graduate medical training or was sponsored by ECFMG.
So, do I have enough valid ground for Advisory Opinion from DOS on 2 yr HRR?
2.By the time I will be entering USA again on F1, I will have completed HRR for 1 year and 10 months( subtracting 2 months in Japan). Can I come back, say, 15 days per year during F1 period and make up for the 2 remaining months or do I have to start 2 yr again after F1 expires?
3.OR go for waiver..?
Whats my best option??????????

You can do 15 days per year for 4 years or you can do two months now. No harm in applying for a advisory opinion and if all else fails apply for waiver. Best option if you have time is to do two months now. In my opinion the earlier you get rid of the two year requirment the better it is for you. Just my opinion.

2 Years At A Stretch Or In Breaks?

Does the HRR in 2 years have to be done at a stretch or can be broken up...please let me know.
Can you refer me to any US govt document or any immigration help website that says this?
Please look at my case, how does advisory opinion look? How to go about that?
Does one need a US attorney for this?

2 years can be broken up. I am not aware of any website just what I have been told by lawyer I consulted few years ago.
