I was informed by an immigration attorney that if I did my residency on a J1 and went to an H1 for a year [waiver job] and then came back to do a fellowship on J1
a) I won't be able to get another waiver job
b) Even if I did, I will have to do my 3 years all over again and the 1 year that I worked in an underserved area earlier will not count.
Does anyone have [or have heard of] practical experience in this matter.
