Iam a J1 research scholar in the us and my current emplopyment ends in october . I got an advisory opinion stating that I dont have HRR. My husband is in F1.Iam trying for other jobs right now.But I would like to become F2 If I dont get anything .In the mean while I dont want my application for F2 to become a hassle if I get another job.If I apply for F2 just before october and if I dont get approved by the end of october Can I continue to stay in the US or do I have to leave the country.any help would be appreciated.
