i am a teacher from india working on 3 years j1 visa which will end on june 1st 2010.My employer asked me if i m interested in going for 1 more year of j1 extension. My questions are
1. after one or two years of extension of my j1 am i still eligible to apply a waiver and transfer my visa to h1b if i get a sponsor.
2.Does this any way put me back in a line in applying for PR.
3.Is it good to apply for a waiver and find a sponsor now without going for extension( my spouse who is on j2 is also working she probably may not find a employer for her h1b)
