J1 and GC

I am on h1b and L/C applied under EB3 at GA DOL in april 2004. So I guess there is atleast 3 years to go before I can apply for 485.
My wife wants to join residency program on a h1b visa but nowadays it is getting difficult to get a residency on h1. But there are a lot of hospitals offering residency on J1.
Will we have any problem filing for 140/485 if she does her residency on J1?

sincere advise don<t get trapped in J1 waiver , she will be subject to 2 year return or waiver job, try best to keep under H1 or wait it EAD
