J1 Academic Training multiple jobs?

Hi,

I hope somebody can help me here. I am currently working on a J1 visa, through Academic Training. I work approximately 12 hours per week for an employer, in an area directly related to my PhD field (I am also currently working on my thesis).

A separate employer has expressed an interest in having me work for them 3 hours per week. The job will essentially be the same (teaching), but the employer and location will be different.

Can I take this job?

You can work with multiple employers as long as your school and J1 officer (or international office staff) would approve it

You can work after you receive written authorization.

If you finished course work and you are writing a thesis, you can work full time.
