J waiver and EAD

Hi, friends: I have submitted my I-485 and EAD application based on EA1a with the recomm letter for my J waiver from US Department of States before I obtained the final approval from INS. My questions are: 1. is it ok? 2. Can I get the EAD without INS J waiver (my J waiver based on \'no objection\' has been blocked at CSC for a long time. I got the DOS letter last year, for unknown reason, probably my docments were lost, my J waiver is still pending at CSC. I don\'t know when I could get the final approval of J waiver. But I badly need the EAD as quick as possible). 3. some advice. Thank you very much

In the same situation. I did not apply for EAD. But my wife\'s EAD was approved on march 30.

Thank you for your reply. Do you mean that your wife got her EAD before your final J waiver from INS was approved?

Thanks, csc109, The ND of my I-612 notice for j waiver is Sep. 29, 2000. My DOS letter was dated on April 18, 2000. Almost one year past. I believe something must be wrong at CSC or DOS, but I am not able to contact with them. Did you contact with INS about your J waiver?

The ND of my J waiver from INS is October 23, 2000. DOS recommendation letter was dated on September 29, 2000. I ever sent a letter and a fax to CSC INS. But no reply yet. Maybe they do not care. My wife\'s EAD ND is Feb. 1, 2001. It was approved on March 30 from AVM.
