Hi - my brother who is a surgeon in India is trying to come to the US for a 3-month fellowship/training. However, he is afraid that his visa application will be summarily rejected by the Kolkata US Consulate. This is because his friend got rejected a couple of weeks back for the same. However, the difference between him and his friend will be that - my brother has been to England several times in the past couple of yrs for training, while his friend (who was rejected a visa) has never travelled out of India.
Could any of you who are physicians from India and have successfully got a visa for fellowships or other programs in 2001-2002 please advice, and/or share your experience(s). I'd be very grateful.
